Who the heck am I?

More than 10 years on, this adventure still cranks me up when I think about it.

I think I’m a pretty regular person. And yet I’ve managed to pilot small airplanes, ride solo across the Mongolian steppes, quit a six-figure corporate job to start a design company, and start singing in a rock band (with no previous experience) in my fifties.

And wear a pink coat after decades of neutral.

And go without eye makeup in public.

It’s amazing what we think of as scary.

I’ve sure come to understand that there’s no such thing as a silly fear, just as there’s no such thing as being fearless. There’s just the ability to do cool stuff anyway.

And amaze yourself in the process.
